    Disney’s Mulan Deleted Scene: Reflection

    In my opinion, deleting this scene from “Reflection” was a terrible mistake.  The song is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but this added part takes a somewhat disparing song and makes being different empowering and strong.

    I don’t understand. It’s beautiful. Wow disney. 

    Yeah, Lea Salonga was heartbroken that they cut the song. I can understand why. This part is inspirational.

    ; ______ ; Wow, this is beautiful. Why would they cut it? It makes it so much easier for the viewer to identify with her situation. The accompanying scene is amazing too.

    This gave me shivers. Wow.

    Mulan is one of my favourite childhood movies and she’s easily my favourite Disney princess. They really missed an opportunity here to make this scene this much more meaningful and powerful.

    I really don’t understand why they changed it! What, is a girl riding a horse around the countryside in the same movie in which she holds a sword too controversial, Disney? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?
